Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce Swears in New Officers and Directors

Morton Grove, IL, December 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Newly elected President Mark Albers outlined his goals for the 90th Anniversary Year of the Morton Grove Chamber after the ceremony, which was part of the Annual Holiday Party Meeting on December 3, 2015, held at the American Legion Post #134 on Dempster in Morton Grove.

The Officers and Board of Directors are as follows: Mark Albers (President) - The Mark Albers Company, Mike Simkins (VP) - Simkins Funeral Home, Jeannine Como (Treasurer & Immediate Past President) - Dr. Robert Antman DDS, Debbie Manno (Secretary) - MB Financial Bank, Rich Block - Creative Promotional Products, Cindy Kopczyk - Inland Bank and Nick Marino - Century 21 Marino Real Estate.

Mark Albers said that he would like to see the MGCCI establish a closer relationship with the residents of Morton Grove. He stated, "Building a stronger connection with our residents will only enhance the Chamber's ability to foster commerce throughout our community."

President Albers went on to outline his goals for the new year as follows: 1. Re-establish the Chamber Expo that was a success in introducing local business to residents. 2. Bring back an annual recognition of outstanding individuals and businesses. 3. Revive other Morton Grove traditions like "Santa Coming to Town." In closing, Mark said "Having positive, distinctive activities in a community help to make positive things happen in that community."
