Jacobs: One Most Inspiring Independent Jewellery Shop in Reading

Reading, United Kingdom, December 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Jacobs the Jewellers, a trusted independent jewellery shop in Reading, was again named as one of the UK’s top 100 Inspiring Independent Jewellers. The Retail Jeweller (RJ) magazine has been running the contest since 2011 and for the fourth time, Jacobs has been had the honour to be included in the list of outstanding jewellery shops. The past years’ events primarily included 50 independent jewellers but this year, RJ has expanded the list to 100 participants from across the UK and Ireland.

Retail Jeweller’s Inspiring Independents is one of the most prestigious honours that jewellery shops can only hope to achieve. As such, the process of determining the winners was meticulous. Independents were nominated via an online voting form for different reasons. Some of the criteria used for distinguishing promising Independents include phenomenal customer service, offering new or cutting edge brands as well as implementation of innovative marketing strategies. After the initial voting, qualified jewellers were presented to a panel that will eventually declare the winners.

Independent retailers and jewellers are considered to be the lifeblood of the industry in the UK. Retailers like Jacobs the Jewellers inspire people in their own way that they deserve to be recognised for their numerous contributions. This is why Inspiring Independents event is held each year – to celebrate the achievements of some of the best jewellers in the business. This, of course, is all for the hope that it will inspire other independent jewellers to get motivated, rise up to the challenge and adopt the same high standards of those fortunate to be included in the top 100. The event also further helps the community of independent jewellers by bringing them together for support and camaraderie.

This year’s event was launched and hosted by none other than Retail Jeweller together with the help of the Company of Master Jewellers and four other sponsor partners namely Trollbeads, Continental Jewellery, Pursuit and Lightworks.
