Portland, OR, December 12, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Solomon Exam Prep is pleased to announce the completion and launch of Solomon Exam Prep study materials for the new Series 50 Municipal Advisor Representative Qualification Exam (https://solomonexamprep.com/series50). An initial pilot exam will take place from January 15, 2016 - February 15, 2016. Solomon Exam Prep strives to help those taking this exam pass the first time.
The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board establishes professional standards for municipal advisors. The MSRB requires advisors to take exams to test competency based on the roles and duties advisors perform in their position. Earlier this year the Securities and Exchange Commission approved amendments which established the new Municipal Advisor Representative Qualification Examination (Series 50). This exam tests the general knowledge required to perform municipal advisory duties and qualifies an individual as a municipal advisor.
The Series 50 outline contains the following five functions:
· Understanding SEC and MSRB Rules Regarding Municipal Advisors
· Understanding Municipal Finance
· Performing Issuer’s Credit Analysis and Due Diligence
· Structuring, Pricing and Executing Municipal Debt Products
· Understanding Requirements Related to the Issuance of Municipal Debt
Solomon Exam Prep study materials were designed according to the Series 50 outline and includes an Exam Study Guide (https://solomonexamprep.com/series50/exam-study-guide) and Online Exam Simulator (https://solomonexamprep.com/series50/online-exam-simulator) – both included in the Essentials Study Package (https://solomonexamprep.com/series50/essentials-study-package). This powerful combination gives students what they need to learn and retain the material by testing as they go.
Those interested in taking the pilot exam have until January 14, 2016 to register. Solomon Exam Prep is encouraging those needing to take the new Series 50 exam to participate in the pilot –a great opportunity to pass the test without any penalties for failure. The implementation date for the permanent exam has not yet been announced, but those who pass the pilot exam will be qualified as a municipal advisor representative and will not have to take the exam a second time.
