SRI Jazz Gives Away Songs Following the Terrorist Attacks

Oak Park, CA, December 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- SRI Jazz has announced that due to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, they are offering the song “I Love Paris” as a free download on their site and they are releasing the complete, beautiful jazz-inspired album “Paris Is For Lovers” by Danielle Hérbert & Pete Dwyer to show the world what Paris means to everyone. The album includes such French classics as “C’est Cie Bon” and “C’est Manifique” along with many more. The public is invited to come download this free song and listen to the preview of the album online for free.

In addition to the Paris free song download and in honor of the victims of the San Bernardino violence, SRI is also giving away “Everybody’s Cryin’ Mercy,” a song written by Mose Allison and performed by Ray Brown Jr. and Dr. Lonnie Smith. Liebowitz says, “This song gets to the very heart of how we need to show compassion and mercy especially in difficult times of war.” This song was recorded for Ray Brown Jr’s all-star duets album called “Friends And Family,” which is also available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

In light of the recent terrorist attacks and also the hate-crimes that follow the attacks, SRI CEO Shelly Liebowitz said, “We have seen so much hate and violence recently and we believe that giving away these songs will show everyone that we are one world and that we all want tolerance, peace, love, and compassion. For example, Jim Morrison once said ‘Hatred is a very underestimated emotion,’ and John Lennon once said ‘If you want peace, you won’t get it with violence.’ How true these words resonate today with the state of the world. I also believe a quote by Bono that ‘Music can change the world because it can change people’. I think that this rings true and I feel by giving away this free song we can show the hate mongers how we feel and it could start more conversations that spread love through music to counter some of the negative actions and emotions going on in the world today.”
