Nevada Desert Realty Adopts 10 Children from Clark County School District’s Santa for Students Program
The Klinger Group and the rest of Nevada Desert Realty participated in the 12th annual Santa for Students Program hosted by Clark County School District.
Las Vegas, NV, December 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- This year was the 12th year that Clark County School District hosted the Santa for Students Program. This program takes inventory of all the children attending Clark County Schools that are in need and gives them a Christmas they will never forget. This program allows local businesses to “Adopt” certain children who are in need, are given clothing and shoe sizes and sometimes gift ideas or the child’s favorite color so participants can find gifts perfect for the child or children they’ve “Adopted.”
The Klinger Group at Nevada Desert Realty volunteered to take charge of 10 children in need this year. The Klinger Group along with other Las Vegas real estate agents at Nevada Desert Realty such as Monique Dolph, The Steve Sales Team, Jackie Bennett - one of the brokerage’s preferred lender, and Lawanda Alston of Ticor Title worked together to ensure that each of the 10 children in need would have a special Christmas. Some of the gifts included toys, children’s books, shoes, clothes, jackets, and more.
The 10 children included both boys and girls ages 4-14. These children either volunteered for the Santa for Students program or were chosen to be in the program by those who knew their family’s financial situation. Clark County Schools approved each child for the program, making sure the students who truly needed to be in the program where. The school district went to great lengths to keep the students’ information private and the students safe.
Santa for Students has been in operation for 12 years and each year they have more and more volunteers from the community help them make Christmas special for children in need. This program was started by those involved in the Clark County School District and many participants are either parents or staff members. Each year volunteers make boards to help each business or individual who helps gather presents for the program meet their present goals and help in getting enough of their business associates or friends to also participate. The volunteers who make the boards also pick up presents at each participating location in a timely manner to ensure that each child has their presents for Christmas.
Anna Klinger of The Klinger Group has participated in Santa for Students for several years now. Between Anna and Michael Klinger, both Las Vegas real estate agents, Nevada Desert Realty was able to gather enough co-participants who all adopted 1-3 children to bring presents for. Anna and Michael were also able to spend a morning wrapping presents and making sure they had everything ready for the volunteer responsible for bringing their presents to the school. For a few days this week, Nevada Desert Realty’s office tree had piles of presents surrounding it waiting to be picked up.
The Klinger Group was started and is owned by Anna and Michael Klinger. The Klingers have been Henderson real estate agents for 14 years and Michael recently opened his own brokerage, Nevada Desert Realty, which opened year. Located at 40 E Horizon Ridge Parkway, their office number is 702-509-1446.
