Career Step to Donate $6,650 to the National Military Family Association
Career Step will be donating $6,650 to the National Military Family Associationās Operation PurpleĀ® Program as a result of its November donation drive through its Referral Program.
Provo, UT, December 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is pleased to announce that it will be donating $6,650 to the National Military Family Association’s Operation Purple® Program as a result of its November donation drive through its Referral Program.
“We are thrilled to be donating nearly 35 percent more to the National Military Family Association this year than last year,” said Vonda Andrews, Career Step referral program manager. “We look forward to this donation drive every year as it gives us the opportunity to make each of our referral enrollments count a bit more. We have an amazing network of referrers who help us spread the word about the tremendous opportunities Career Step provides to help others improve lives through education. We would like to thank them for helping us do more this past month in order to make this donation our biggest one yet!"
This year’s Career Step donation has been designated for the Operation Purple® Program, which during 2015 hosted more than 2,600 campers in their summer camps, about 280 participants in three Operation Purple Family Retreats® and another 240 participants in their Operation Purple Healing Adventures®. These programs focus on helping military families cope with the stress of deployment, homecoming and injuries by providing opportunities to connect with others in similar situations, learn proven communication techniques and make positive memories.
The donation amount was determined through Career Step’s referral network. The school is donating $50 for each student who enrolled in November on the recommendation of a registered referrer.
“Career Step has been a wonderful partner over the years,” said National Military Family Association Executive Director Joyce Wessel Raezer. “This fourth annual donation will go a long way toward helping with our 2016 Operation Purple® Program, and we are also thrilled to be working together on a new scholarship program with this great group.”
This donation to the National Military Family Association is a small part of the support Career Step offers to the military community. Over 15,000 military spouses have trained through Career Step over the years, and the school also participates in programs such as MyCAA, the Military Friendly Schools™ List and the Military Spouse Employment Partnership.
Career Step’s Referral Program offers resources and incentives for those interested in telling others about Career Step’s career-training programs.
