Swissport Cargo Services went live with their new system for doors and slot management at its Madrid warehouse. They have cultivated an excellent partnership with Swissport and are proud of this successful implementation of their doors and slot management system at Swissport’s Madrid facility.
Gurgaon, India, January 05, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Swissport Cargo Services went live with their new system for doors and slot management at its Madrid warehouse. The system not only helps Swissport with the management of planned truck movements, leading to a de-congestion of the docks higher customer satisfaction but also dramatically improves the overall cargo operations at terminals handled by Swissport.
The new state of the art system has been provided by Cargo Flash Infotech and is part of their complete cargo solution ‘nGen System’. This system seamlessly handles all aspects of airlines’ and cargo handlers’ air freight, including sales and reservations, scheduling, export/import operations handling, warehouse management, revenue accounting and doors and slot management.
The objective of the doors and slot management system is to manage and channelize the trucks to the correct door based on shipment contents as well as to manage the planned truck arrival in advance. The system uses complex configurable algorithms to link each door with a truck and inform the handler about truck arrivals in advance.
