Long Term Care Insurance Association Video Addresses New Opportunities For Insurance Agents
A new video featuring the director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance addresses a new marketing initiative than can help insurance agents who serve senior clientele.
Los Angeles, CA, January 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Insurance agents and financial advisors who market to the senior market can learn about new market opportunities by viewing a just-posted video interview with the director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.
"There are some serious gaps in Medicare health coverage that are impacting millions of retired seniors," explains Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance (AALTCI). Slome refers to the fact that hospitals are coding an increasing number of people requiring care as "Observation" status which impacts their eligibility for full Medicare benefits.
"Then there is long term care which generally is not covered by Medicare and many seniors have already made up their mind not to buy long-term care insurance coverage," Slome adds.
The industry expert notes that consumers are not aware of very affordable options that can cover the gaps in Medicare and also provide some coverage for a long term care need. "Short term care insurance products are one of the best kept secrets and we aim to change that," Slome shares.
The AALTCI posted a two and a half-minute video message today for insurance agents. "We are calling on the tens of thousands of insurance agents who serve America's seniors to learn more about short term care insurance," Slome advised. Roughly a dozen insurance carriers currently offer short term care insurance products. "We anticipate more major companies will launch products," he forecasts.
