Dale Jarrett Awards Tulsa Woman Historic Fantasy Racing Prize
Kathleen Borgne of Tulsa, Okla., wins the $150,000 fantasy racing prize from PayTheFan.com
Tulsa, OK, December 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- CHSG Partners, the North Carolina based limited liability corporation, in partnership with Dale Jarrett and Terry Bradshaw are pleased to announce that Kathleen Borgne is the $150,000 winner of its first ever, “Ten Race Chase,” online fantasy racing game. Borgne, 40, of Tulsa, Okla., beat out the national field with her racing expertise, and was awarded the largest ever cash prize for fantasy auto racing.
Borgne, a Senior Sales Manager with the Tulsa Convention & Visitors Bureau, was awarded her $150,000 check by racing icon Dale Jarrett, at a ceremony on December 4, at Dale Jarrett, Inc.’s corporate headquarters in Newton, N.C.
“Finding a fantasy sports website like PayTheFan.com has been a dream come true," said Borgne. “While I have always been a casual racing fan, this is the first year I really followed it every day. It’s unbelievable to be paid this much money for following a passion of mine. PayTheFan.com really does pay you like a pro. I can’t wait for next year – I’ll be first in line to sign up for a season-long game in February.”
Second prize winners, Ron Tipton and Russell Panken, of Maricopa, Ariz., split a $75,000 prize, and John Blowe finished in third place with a $50,000 prize. They also received their checks on Tuesday afternoon from Dale Jarrett and PayTheFan.com vice president, Bruce Crumbliss.
“In the fantasy sports marketplace, there is no other game like PayTheFan.com,” said Crumbliss. “PayTheFan.com not only brings real strategy to the fantasy sports table, it truly awards players for their skill with cash prizes. I’m thrilled for Kathleen and I can’t wait until we award a fantasy football player $250,000 at the end of the football season, and then gear up for the launch of the season-long racing game in February.”
PayTheFan.com launched in August 2007 offering season and weekly fantasy football games, in addition to the “Ten Race Chase” fantasy racing game. The prize purse for the fantasy games at PayTheFan.com currently lead the industry at more than one million dollars in cash prizes awarded. Beginning in February 2008, PayTheFan.com will launch a weekly, season-long and “10 Race Chase” fantasy racing game, in addition to the weekly and season-long fantasy football games.
“It’s great to watch the races and the games as fans, but with PayTheFan.com, our players are really involved in the action,” said Jarrett. “As we finish up our first year, I’m excited by how more and more fans are learning that our site is for real. And more importantly, the prize money is for real.”
In addition to co-owners Jarrett and Bradshaw, CHSG has also signed race car driver, Elliott Sadler, as a Pay the Fan spokesperson. Jarrett, Bradshaw and Sadler offer insider tips and fantasy sports advice throughout the football and racing seasons at PayTheFan.com blog, http://blog.PayTheFan.com.
