Bangkok, Thailand, January 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Representasia, the Thailand-based hotel & travel technology solutions startup, are delighted to announce that they have been selected for the prestigious ALPHA RISE 2016 event, which takes place in Hong Kong in May.
The event, which began in Dublin 5 years ago, follows a successful Hong Kong debut in 2015 which showcased early-stage startups including HotelQuickly, Sisense and Shopline, as well as such prestigious investors as 500 Startups, Sequoia Capital and Google Ventures, and press from BBC, WSJ, NYT, Forbes, Wired and more.
The 2016 event, which takes place from 31 May to 2 June, is scheduled to be even bigger. Those startups lucky to be selected will be exhibiting and pitching to hundreds of attendees, investors and speakers including Ed Catmull of Pixar, Mike Schroepfer (CTO of Facebook), Sean Rad of Tinder, Dave McClure of 500 Startups, and Stewart Butterfield (CEO of Slack).
Representasia will be exhibiting their suite of B2C/B2B travel and hotel apps, which they believe will prove attractive to potential investors. “We’re delighted to have been selected for ALPHA RISE” says Tim Russell, the company’s Co-founder and CMO. “It’s a very competitive event so for a young startup like us to make the cut is a real achievement.”
Russell is excited at pitching his company’s solutions to RISE attendees. “We launched our first app – Representasia News – in December, and have three more exciting new travel/hospitality apps at the prototype stage,” he tells us. “To get our prototypes accepted by ALPHA RISE is the best validation we could hope for at this stage, and we can’t wait to share our ideas at the event.”
ALPHA RISE 2016 takes place at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 31 May-2 June. You can find out more about the event at https://riseconf.com/. For more information about Representasia, visit www.represent.asia or emailtim@representasia.com.
