SRI Jazz Artist, Ray Brown, Jr. Attracts Audiences from the Ukraine to Israel
Ray Brown Jr, SRI Jazz recording artist has become a legendary performer abroad much like his mother Ella Fitzgerald and father, Ray Brown. His SRO shows have led to so many additional dates added that he is now spending much more time in the Ukraine, Europe and the Middle East then he does in the United States. The musicians worldwide are excite for the chance to work with him.
Oak Park, CA, January 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- SRI Jazz vocalist, Ray Brown Jr’s tour has taken him from Hawaii to Los Angeles, from Las Vegas to the Ukraine, where his amazing popularity is evident in the press coverage of his performance dates including appearing at the Ashod Jazz Festival in Israel. His live shows contain all the fan favorites as well as creative arrangements of new material that satisfy his ever growing fan base.
At home he has appeared in every type of club and festival including a month long residency at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. In the Ukraine, Brown has appeared on magazine covers, television news and interview programs. In many ways he has the same respect from everyone there that his famous parents did. Both his mother, Ella Fitzgerald and his father, famous bass player Ray Brown were highly revered there and followed by the media in much the same way as Ray Brown Jr has been. He has become so popular there that each time his tour takes him to the Ukraine they keep adding more and more dates making it harder for him to accommodate the promoters in all the countries where they want him to perform.
He has played to packed venues throughout Europe as well. He has had glowing reviews for all of his appearances including at clubs, festivals, special events and cruises. His soft, easy going style of smooth jazz sets him apart from other vocalists. His style is more reminiscent of Dean Martin and Perry Como than that of most vocalists. In much the same way as his mother did, Ray’s live sets contain a mix of songs from the Great American Songbook as well as jazz versions of classic rock tunes.
As his whirlwind foreign tour continues, musicians throughout the countries he appears in have flocked to work with this man that they consider a “Master” of the art. His generous spirit allows musicians the rare opportunity to learn and share moments that will live with them forever as Ray Brown, Jr. graciously gives them the chance to share the stage and shine on solos on songs during live performances with him.
Ray Brown Jr’s label, SRI Jazz, has just released “The Best of Ray Brown, Jr.” plus the new release “Misty” all of which, along with his previous albums, can be heard on the label’s website (www.srirecords.com) as well as on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all other streaming and download sites. His critically acclaimed all-star duets CD, “Friends And Family,” is still a favorite of radio worldwide. “We plan to record another new album this spring as his schedule allows,” said Producer, Shelly Liebowitz.
