Antibiotic Resurrection: Taking the Path of Least Resistance
SMi are delighted to have Professor Conrad Lichtenstein, Chief Scientific Officer from Nemesis Bioscience Ltd, deliver a keynote address at the 18th annual conference on Superbugs & Superdrugs taking place in London on the 16th-17th March.
London, United Kingdom, January 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Lichtenstein has held a variety of positions with elite institutions such as: University of Washington, Imperial College London, and Queen Mary University of London. Following his research at these establishments and prior to his current role, Professor Conrad worked for Population Genetics Technology where he developed methods to enable the rapid, low-cost, simultaneous analysis of candidate genes in multiple genomes and the identification of rare variants in mixed DNA samples from human, plant and microbial sources.
Entitled ‘Antibiotic resurrection: Taking the path of least resistance’ Professor Conrad Lichtenstein’s presentation will give insight into achieving antibiotic sensitivity and resistance prevention; discuss clinical applications; and explore delivery options for companion therapeutics in Nemesis Symbiotics.
Now running for almost two decades ‘Superbugs and Superdrugs’ will once again play host to an audience of anti-infective experts, providing a focal point to discuss the latest clinical advancements and funding opportunities. Joining Professor Lichtenstein will be leading industry experts from the likes of European Commission, BARDA, Cempra Pharmaceuticals and many more.
