Seasoned Food Service Expert Opens New Restaurant in Lafayette Square

St. Louis, MO, January 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, recently assisted a St. Louis native find a place for his kind of cooking.

Pierre Balentine, who spent more than 20 years in the food service industry, plans to open Balentine’s Restaurant & Bar on Feb. 14 at 1801 Park St. in Lafayette Square. He signed a five-year lease for the 5,400-square-foot restaurant which will feature comfort food from around the world. Balentine’s will have a dining area, bar, and a lounge presenting live music. Indoor seating capacity is 225 people with outdoor seating for 24. The bar features 15 wines and eight beers from around the world, as well as 15 beers on tap.

Lunch and dinner hours will be Tues. through Sun. from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. with breakfast served Fri. through Sun. beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Balentine, a U.S. Army Veteran who retired after 21 years of service, said he hired “three young women ages 19 to 27 to serve as chefs who will create his kind of food.” He added that his menu is “inspired by a military career that spanned five continents and a host of countries.”
