Radio Theater Production of the Historical Fiction Adventure "Mister Tidwell, Gunner" at the L. Ron Hubbard Theatre in Hollywood

Hollywood, CA, January 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The historical fiction adventure, “Mister Tidwell, Gunner,” will be performed this coming Saturday, January 16, at the L. Ron Hubbard Theatre, located on Hollywood Boulevard, one block west of the Chinese Theatre.

Heralded by many theater goers as the friendliest theatre in Hollywood, you will be made to feel totally welcome in this intimate, family-friendly, cabaret-style environment by the theatre staff and will enjoy complimentary refreshments as part of the experience. “Mister Tidwell, Gunner” is the story of a ship’s schoolmaster aboard Lord Nelson’s legendary British fleet at the height of the Napoleonic Wars. Mister Tidwell soon finds himself directly in the line of fire with his fellow seamen being killed or maimed all about him.

Sick of being required to help a cold-blooded surgeon beneath decks—where gunshot wounds, smashed hands and crushed arms are the order of the day—Mister Tidwell defies orders to go below and finds himself in the rigging, facing a fearsome French man-o-war with a single musket.

At the height of the battle, the professor uses his knowledge of ordnance and trajectory to good effect. But will this be enough to ensure his survival and help bring victory to Nelson’s fleet? Or will he find himself, again, below decks, but this time lying in his own blood?

The L. Ron Hubbard Theatre has been open since 2008 and showcases the fiction works of L. Ron Hubbard in a modern-day environment with Hollywood actors where the entire family can experience a live show radio-theatre style and mingle with the actors afterwards.
