Kamal Chopra of NIPA Designated as Professor

North India Printers Association (NIPA) feeling proud in announcing that their General Secretary Mr. Kamal Chopra is designated as Professor in lieu of his services towards printing industry, it is greatest honour for NIPA.

Ludhiana, India, January 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In recognition of his services towards the printing industry, especially Print Education in India, the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism & Communication (MCU), Bhopal designated Mr Kamal Chopra, General Secretary North India Printers Association (NIPA) as Professor Adjunct for Printing. Mr. Chopra is a known name in the printing arena the world over. A qualified printer and a Gold Medallist in printing technology, Mr. Chopra has many laurels to his credit including the award from H.E. The President of India and Global Print Leadership Award at Chicago USA by NPES. One of his works - the unique 13 page calendar offering a complete history of Printing that goes back to over 100,000 years found a place in the Printing History Museum in Beijing, China, it is considered a huge contribution to the history of printing. He was also felicitated at Birmingham (UK) by the BUMPSA for his achievements in the printing industry.

While thanking the MCU on the occasion, Mr Kamal Chopra said, “It is the greatest honour for the printing industry; perhaps it is for the first time ever in the history of printing that such a felicitation if given to a printer in India. I am thankful to Prof. B K Kuthiala, Vice Chancellor of the University and Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for bestowing such an honour to a printer like me.” Speaking about the latest printing, he said, “Printing is a fast growing profession, only ink on paper is not printing now. In this digital age printing is also developing as a versatile media, we can print taste, touch, odour etc. These days food, buildings even human organs also are being printed. We need lot of qualified printing engineers to cope with the latest developments especially in 3DPrinting and Printed Electronics. It is great that MCU is preparing the qualified printing engineers capable to handle the printing of tomorrow. It will be my good fortune to work with MCU to train the printers of tomorrow.”

Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism & Communication (MCU) is the first of its kind in Asian Sub-continent, it has five campuses. The main campus is at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), other campuses are at Noida, Khandwa, Gwalior and Amarkhantak. MCU has its presence in all parts of the country and also has two study centres in Nepal. Another campus at Rewa is fast coming up.
