Penn Community Bank Presents $32,500 in Donations to Bucks County Nonprofits

Funds will be used to support affordable housing and education initiatives across Bucks County

Buckingham, PA, January 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Bucks County’s leading mutual financial organization, Penn Community Bank, recently presented donations totaling $32,500 to nonprofit organizations that improve the lives of county residents.

Formed by the unification of First Federal of Bucks County and First Savings Bank of Perkasie, Penn Community Bank commits up to 5 percent of its net income each year to charitable groups that serve Bucks County. For 2015, the bank was able to contribute an additional $32,500 to four groups doing vital work to advance affordable housing and education programs across the county. The donations are:

• Bucks County Housing Group, $2,500
• Bucks County Opportunity Council, $15,000
• Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County, $5,000
• Vita Education Services, $10,000

Penn Community Bank President and CEO Jeane M. Coyle recently presented checks for these donations to representatives of the organizations. The funds will assist with their day to day operations along with special events and programs.
