Prominent Las Vegas Real Estate Executives Appointed to GLVAR Board
Heidi Kasama named REALTOR of the Year as Aldo Martinez and Omar Lopez of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties are tapped for 2016 GLVAR Board of Directors.
Las Vegas, NV, January 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Aldo Martinez and Omar Lopez of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties have been elected to the 2016 Board of Directors for the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS (GLVAR). Heidi Kasama was also selected as the organizations’ 2015 REALTOR of the Year. All three will also serve on the Nevada Association of REALTORS 2016 Board of Directors.
Martinez is branch manager for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties’ Southwest office and oversees 250 of the company’s 1,100 real estate sales executives in Southern Nevada. He has been with the company for more than 20 years.
In his role as Director for GLVAR in 2016, Martinez will serve as a liaison to the organization’s Political Affairs committee in Southern Nevada. He will also serve on GLVAR’s Public Relations and Communications and Awards and Recognition committees at the state level.
Martinez has volunteered with GLVAR for many years and has held leadership positions since 2006. For the past two years, he served as chair of its Bylaws committee, aiding in the redrafting of its bylaws to create a 501c non-profit. He has also held leadership positions on GLVAR’s Education, Professional Standards and Grievance committees and has been a faculty member for GLVAR’s Education committee since 2006. In 2012, Martinez was the recipient of GLVAR’s Ron Reiss Education Award.
In his 2016 GLVAR board role, Lopez will serve as a liaison to its Young Professional Network (YPN). Lopez is a commercial real estate sales and leasing executive with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties. He has worked in Las Vegas real estate for more than 10 years.
Lopez served as president of the Nevada Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals in both 2011 and 2012. He served on GLVAR’s board of directors in 2015 and on its Political Affairs committee in 2014.
Heidi Kasama was named GLVAR’s 2015 REALTOR of the Year. Kasama served as GLVAR’s president in 2014 and has been a volunteer with the organization since 2005. She has served on GLVAR’s Finance, Forms, Grievance, Professional Standards, and MLS Quality Control committees.
Kasama is also a national director for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in 2016 and serves on its Federal Taxation and Public Policy Coordinating committees.
