Bristol, RI, January 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Total Fitness Clubs (TFC), today announced they will be hosting The American Cancer Society’s annual Pedal To End Cancer™ (formerly Spin For Hope™) on Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The event will be held at their Bristol, RI location, Bristol Total Fitness (BTF). There are still plenty of bikes available for those wishing to participate at this location.
Pedal To End Cancer™ (formerly Spin For Hope™) is a three hour indoor cycling fundraising event to benefit cancer research, education, advocacy, and services. Participants can spin as a one-person team, for all three hours, or form a team and split up the time. All funds raised support the American Cancer Society and its mission to eliminate cancer as a major public health threat.
Total Fitness raised over $33,000 and was the #1 fundraising Club for the 2015 Event and they have consistently been in the top 10 fundraising clubs in New England since they started hosting indoor cycling events to support the American Cancer Society. 2016 will be Total Fitness Clubs’ fourth year supporting the American Cancer Society under the event name Pedal to End Cancer™ and the 10th year hosting cycling events to fight cancer (hosting the former event named Spin For Hope™).
Total Fitness Spinning instructors who will be leading the event are Julie Fostin, Tim Sweeney, Lizzie Newton, Peggy Murgo, Laura Jenkins and Leslie Brow.
Registration:
Participants register online and pay the $25 non-refundable registration fee to participate. All participants in the American Cancer Society’s Pedal to End Cancer™ event need to register as either a team captain or team member, even if planning on spinning the full three hours individually.
Participants may register as a one person team and reserve their own bike. Individuals registering to cycle the entire three hours are encouraged (but not required) to raise $300. Participants can also choose to share a bike with up to two others and split up the three hours. Those registering to share a bike are encouraged to raise $100 each.
