Brady Versus Maryland: Lessons Learned from an Overturned Conviction
Colorado Springs, CO, January 21, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Justice Clearinghouse is hosting a free webinar for law enforcement, prosecutors, and criminal justice professionals on the lessons learned from Brady versus Maryland on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
This free webinar will focus on the importance of communications between the police and prosecutor in terms of turning over evidence to the defense, especially evidence that might exonerate the defendant. Many of the presented lessons learned will be from a death penalty case in Maricopa County from the early 1990s that was reversed in 2013 because of evidence that wasn’t shared due to potential police misconduct in a key officer-witness.
For more information about how to register for this webinar, individuals can visit the Justice Clearinghouse website.
