Munich Reinsurance America Plaza III Takes Home a USGBCNJ Emerald Award
Munich Reinsurance America's Plaza III was awarded an Emerald Award by the U.S. Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter.
Asbury Park, NJ, January 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In October 2015, the U.S. Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter (USGBCNJ) held its 13th Annual Emerald Awards Ball where Emerald Award Recipients were announced and recognized. The Emerald Awards honor individuals and companies who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and best practices in green building and sustainability. Of the six winners, Munich Reinsurance America’s Plaza III took home the award in the Suburban Green Project – Commercial category.
This is not the first time Plaza III was recognized for its sustainability efforts. Earlier in 2015, Plaza III was awarded LEED Platinum Certification by the USGBC. The Plaza III LEED Commissioning project began in 2013. During that time, ENERActive Solutions was contracted as the Commissioning Agent to conceptualize, create and conduct an Enhanced Commissioning Effort for the project. The Munich Re Plaza III project consisted of a 38,000 square foot conference and fitness center within the Munich Re campus in Princeton, New Jersey. The facility is able to accommodate the needs of 1,000 employees at the campus.
As the Commissioning Agent, Eneractive’s role was to act on the owner’s behalf and oversee full project fulfillment, inclusive of the design/construction effort and the operation and maintenance effort, as well as providing post-occupancy follow-up service.
