Healing Families Through Healthy Meals
Queens, NY, January 27, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Furthering Fathering Corporation is working to heal families by teaching them how to prepare healthy and affordable meals. A class taught by retired Military Chef Neno Morris. will be held Feb. 4, 2016 from 6pm to 8 pm in the August Martin High School kitchen. Families also will learn how to grocery shop for healthy food and how to cook nutritious meals for themselves and their families. Food will be donated for Chef Morris to demonstrate with. Groceries will also be given to families in attendance.
“The Dignity Diner Event is a hands on part of a larger vision to help dads win…at home. One day it will serve as an alternative to traditional soup kitchens, where services can also be included with the free meals and lessons in fine dining setting. They will learn nutrition, sanitation, cost effective food shopping and how to cook delicious meals that will last for almost a week,” CEO and Co-founder Jeremy Maynard said.
The Furthering Fathering Corporation is a non-profit organization striving to increase the importance and awareness of fatherhood in communities throughout the nation. In September 2015, The Furthering Fathering Corporation opened their office in Rochdale Village Mall on 165-48 Baisley Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11434. Services include fatherhood training, parental counselling, spiritual counselling, prayer, legal insight for family court and child support issues. Every Thursday evening between 5pm and 7pm and Saturday mornings between 10am and 1pm the office is open for fathers seeking to create and build relationships with their children; women and children are also welcome and offered services.
