Alexis addresses the myriad of issues associated with emotional abuse in her upcoming release, “The Covered.” The release of this memoir is both timely and relevant as many women combat the effects of maintaining unhealthy relationships. As she relates to millennial women that often dread being single, she encourages women to embrace being single and to love themselves unconditionally. While releasing her book in March, during the celebration of Women in History month, she empowers women to continue to thrive despite their personal disappointments and setbacks.
“I am encouraging women to change the way they think about their relationships by revisiting what emotional abuse is,” White says. “We need to teach our children how to develop and maintain these type of relationships as well.”
