Call for Entries 1st Annual HubCity International Film Festival
Compton, CA, February 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Propaganda Multimedia, and DOC Entertainment and are proud to announce the call for entries to the 1st annual HubCity International Film Festival (HubcityIFF) September 2‐3‐4, 2016. The HubCity International Film Festival will present quality and award winning documentaries from independent filmmakers from around the globe. The HubCity International Film Festival will feature a variety of films and PSA’s from students in the Compton Unified school district and abroad, and showcase talented filmmakers throughout the USA. Celebrity Directors and Producers of many Films will be on hand throughout the event to introduce their films, give workshops on documentary film‐making, mingle with film goers and answer questions.
The HubCity International Film Festival will run from Friday afternoon Sept. 2, all day Sat. Sept 3 and until afternoon of Sunday Sept 4.
The HubCity International Film Festival culminates Sunday afternoon with the announcement of the audience favorite, a wrap party with food and beverages, followed by a final showing of the award winner.
There will be an opening party on Friday for the Producers, Directors, Sponsors and VIP ticket holders.
There will be 3 levels of tickets:
· Allday, which will be a day pass for films of the day
· Dollarhide Special ticket will include all the films and the Sunday awards ceremonies and wrap party
· HubCity VIP ticket will be a special sponsorship and include all the films, choice of workshops, a special Opening Party and as well as the Sunday awards ceremony and wrap party.
M L Davis is spearheading this event with Mark Richardson, another local filmmaking icon from the HubCity. He was inspired to bring a Film Festival to Compton after successfully founding the Motor City International Film Festival for 3 years in Detroit, MI. The films are educational, inspiring and insightful, worthy of sharing with Compton, residents and visitors alike.
The purpose of the HubCity International Film Festival is an opportunity to have professional film makers educate and inspire our City populace and visitors, both young and old in the art of film making. The HubcityIFF also seeks, Board members that want to get involved and 2 part time staff members to help in the coordination, to generate local sponsorships and a volunteer coordinator. HubcityIFF hopes to include any service clubs that want to be involved in a variety of tasks that will need to be completed.
