“Defund THIS 2: Electric Vulvaloo” Uses Sex to Sell…Women’s Right to Choose
Burlesque fundraiser returns to support access to women’s healthcare.
Chicago, IL, February 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Dirty Bird Burlesque is proud to present “Defund THIS 2: Electric Vulvaloo”, a fundraiser benefiting women’s reproductive health care and abortion access through Planned Parenthood Illinois.
The special show, featuring burlesque, boylesque and drag performances by some of Chicago’s most talented performers, will take place at the Call Bar, 1547 W Bryn Mawr Avenue, on Friday, March 18 with seating starting at 9:00pm. A $10 donation is requested. All donation proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood of Illinois.
Along with performances, there will be a raffle, vendors and shot specials, all of which will benefit Planned Parenthood.

Boobs Radley, founding member of Dirty Bird Burlesque and mastermind of Defund THIS, says, “There have been so many attacks on women’s access to health care and our right to control what we do with our bodies. Most of the women I know have used Planned Parenthood at some point in our lives for health care. We, as performers, wanted to give back to Planned Parenthood in a way that only we can. At the same time, we get to piss off those people who would rather we stay covered and stay quiet. We get to raise money and raise hell at the same time.”
