Florence, SC, February 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Political Consultant and Former Legislator Available For Media Coverage of Upcoming Event.
Marty Coates, President of Coates and Associates, Inc., a consulting firm, will be available to local, state and national media representatives covering the upcoming visit by Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump to Florence, SC on February 5, 2016.
Coates has been engaged in local, state and national political campaigns for more than 20 years. He has a unique perspective of the electorate in the state and how the Trump campaign will either connect or distance itself from area voters.
Of particular interest to this event, Coates was the Florence County Campaign Co-chair for the Bush for President campaign in 2000. He helped orchestrate a sizable victory for then Governor Bush over rival John McCain. McCain was leading coming out of the early primaries and Bush needed to win in SC before heading to Michigan. Combining a tremendous ground game with the statewide advertising strategy, Coates helped energize evangelicals and conservatives of the region to support the future president.
Coates continued to work on fundraising efforts for the Bush campaign. After the primary win, Coates, a Republican, entered the race for SC House of Representatives and won. He served three terms in the General Assembly, winning two of his elections in democratic leaning districts as a result of controversial redistricting of election districts. His platform in the legislature was centered on issues of moral consciousness and limited government.
Representative Coates has continued his interest in the political process by working on a number of campaigns across the region. Currently, Coates is not affiliated with any Presidential campaigns.
Coates is a nationally recognized speaker, two time best-selling author and businessman. He is a frequent guest on radio, television and internet-based programs discussing many relevant issues of our time.
