Ms. Jennifer A. Brennan, a Director at iDiscovery Solutions (iDS) in Washington DC, has over 20 years of law firm and consulting experience overseeing all aspects of complex matter management. The amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, which took effect on December 1, 2015, represent the most sweeping changes to the Federal rules in years and directly impact all aspects of e-Discovery. These changes influence the fundamentals of litigation, such as the scope of discovery itself and the specificity required in objections to discovery requests. Additionally, the Rules now provide a framework for evaluating whether spoliation exists and the sanctions available to remedy the loss of electronically stored information.
