Orange County Business Journal to Celebrate the 22nd Annual Women in Business Awards
Irvine, CA, February 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Orange County Business Journal proudly hosts the 22nd Annual Women in Business (WIB) Awards. Awards will be presented to five extraordinary professional women.
Since its inception in 1995, the Women in Business Awards Luncheon & Program has grown to become the largest women’s event in Orange County. Slated to take place at noon on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Hotel Irvine, the ceremony will celebrate female empowerment and the accomplishments of many outstanding women.
Co-president of RAJ Manufacturing LLC (RAJ Swim) and 2015 Women in Business Award winner Lisa Vogel will deliver the event’s keynote address. RAJ Swim is one of the largest international companies in the swimwear industry, designing, manufacturing, and selling swimwear under many globally recognized brand names including ATHENA, Next by Athena, Hurley, Nautica, LUXE by Lisa Vogel, Basta Surf, Reef, Ella Moss and Splendid. RAJ Swim also owns and operates SwimSpot, an online and in-store destination for the modern sun lover, with nine stores throughout California and Hawaii.
As a graduate of the USC’s Marshall School of Business, Vogel joined RAJ Swim, a family business founded by her parents, Marta and Raj Bhathal. She has served in various roles throughout the company during her tenor, and currently oversees the marketing/public relations department, licensing and compliance, operations, as well as the design and merchandising departments. RAJ has been honored in the past by the Orange County Business Journal as a winner of the Family Owned Business Awards.
In 2009, Vogel launched LUXE by Lisa Vogel, an upscale and chic swimwear fit solution for the modern beach sophisticate, currently sold at luxury retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and SwimSpot.
