U.S. Veg Corp to Present 13-Course Vegetable Pop-Up in Brooklyn
Brooklyn, NY, February 08, 2016 --(PR.com)-- “Plant,” a 13-course vegetable-forward dinner created by Chef Jay Astafa, will entice patrons to the next Meatless Monday presentation at Adelina’s in Greenpoint, on February 15, beginning at 7 p.m.
Astafa is known for catering high-end events throughout New York City and for helming his family restaurant, Three Brothers Vegan Café. He says he is “obsessed with vegetables… the leading stars in our edible productions.”
To wit, the Adelina’s tasting menu will feature small bites of amuse bouche, tomato tartare with wasabi aioli and black sesame, porcini-dusted mushroom truffle, mini pizza in a box, sunchoke soup with chestnuts and fennel… and that’s just for starters.
Other delectables scheduled for the evening include rosemary-pecan crusted cauliflower, mushroom polenta, a vegan cheese plate, liquid nitrogen chocolate mousse, purple carrot ice cream, and rosewater macaroons.
For those who wish, a 6-glass wine paring featuring vegan, biodynamic and organic wines will also be offered. Or, diners may choose to purchase wine by the glass or bottle.
Only 30 tickets will be sold for intimate seating at 2- and 4-tops or communal tables. Adelina’s’ owner, Toby Buggiani, has created a cozy space dotted with wine barrels and artwork by street artists of 1980s New York. “Our ambiance is a true blend of contemporary Brooklyn culture with rustic Italian tradition,” Buggiani said.
Meatless Mondays at Adelina’s are presented by U.S. Veg Corp, the vegan event planning company which has also been responsible for staging the mega-popular New York City Vegetarian Food Festival every spring. In addition, Veg Corp sponsors vegan food competitions and the Vegan Drinks Brooklyn brand.
Tickets for “Plant” are $145 with service included. For further information, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/plant-by-jay-astafa-x-us-veg-corp-at-adelinas-meatless-monday-tickets-21328017675.
