DoD Leaders to Convene for Unmanned Systems Summit in Alexandria, VA

On March 29 - 30, 2016, Defense Strategies Institute will host senior leaders from the U.S. military services, DoD, UKMOD, Industry and Academia for two days of discussions and dialogue on some of the most pressing initiatives, challenges, and research in the unmanned community.

Washington, DC, February 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- As unmanned / RPA systems are looked upon for expanding capabilities and maximizing mission performance for the future fight for our Military Services across land, sea, air, and space, military leaders, the S&T and private sector communities are tasked with rapidly solving many of the current, and foreseeable future challenges. From policy and procedure to requirements and technical capabilities, expanding capabilities is not just about solving the near term challenges, but thinking beyond the abilities of today, to where and how these systems can be used tomorrow.

"We have created a Summit that will bring together a variety of stakeholders in order to build out two days of discussion and debates that tackle many of the share challenges and current research areas involved in enhancing effective and efficient use of unmanned systems," stated Monica Mckenzie, Senior Partner, Defense Strategies Institute.

DSI’s upcoming Summit recognizes that in a field such as unmanned systems, where there are multiple agents acting in tandem, it is extremely important that all involved are working towards a cohesive and holistic approach.
