Backyard Ponds and Waterfalls Expected to Continue Boom for 2008

One of the biggest areas in terms of spending growth in recent years has been landscaping. According to the American Nursery and Landscape Association, US homeowners spent more than $11 billion in landscaping services in 2002 (the survey’s most recent year). That represents a 3x growth over the $3.6 billion spent on landscaping five years earlier in 1997.

One of the biggest segments of this industry is water features; ponds, backyard waterfalls and streams.
