Lisbon, Portugal, February 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The HBB4ALL project is proud to present its second workshop “Enabling Accessibility in a Connected World” hosted by the Portuguese project partner RTP (Rádio e Televisão de Portugal), 26th February 2016 in Lisbon.
The HBB4ALL project, which aims to develop leading applications for accessibility in the connected TV environment, will present its last achievements with some demonstrations and the ongoing user test results. After the success of the first HBB4ALL workshop 2015 in Barcelona - Smart Accessibility on Connected TV -, where discussions focused on several accessibility issues related to UN-ITU and EC policies, this second workshop will mainly focus on enabling levels for and by the media accessibility value chain: regulators, broadcasters, and end user associations.
Besides the presentation to the public of the latest work of the HBB4ALL consortium, broadcasters from West to East of Europe will share their experience in accessibility services; Portuguese and British regulators will present and discuss the recent guidelines for accessibilities; and experts in the area will discuss European standardization.
Thus, this event will be an excellent occasion to catch-up with the pilots’ progress and see live demonstrations of HBB4ALL access services. Last but not least, those who are the most interested and concerned by access services will promote a discussion; a round table with deaf and blind users association representatives will raise a debate about their needs, expectations and perception of HBB4ALL access services in this new and connected world.
