visualEdit Beta Released
Chicago, IL, December 29, 2007 --(PR.com)-- ActiveCampaign, Inc today announced the immediate availability of visualEdit Beta version. visualEdit is a web-based editor and site manager that allows you to edit websites in real time through your web browser.
visualEdit can be used to manage a single web site or up to 1000 web sites. Using a concept known as “connections” users can connect with multiple servers and have more than one connection assigned to them. It can be used to set up different companies/user groups and multiple web sites that can be edited through the same interface.
File versioning allows users to roll back changes made on a file at any time. The date of the file modification is stamped allowing users to restore, view, and download previous versions of any page on your site. Template support allows new pages to be easily created based off of templates.
visualEdit supports the ability to edit the local file system along with any FTP account. You can connect to remote servers either via FTP or SFTP (can set to use ascii or binary transfers, select passive mode, etc.), or simply edit the content on local server since it allows connections to the local file system. With visualEdit you can choose any number of files to be uploaded at one time.

visualEdit Beta is available exclusively through the ActiveCampaign, Inc website. visualEdit will be available for commercial purchase at the completion of the beta testing process. As soon as a paid version is available a beta license can be converted to a commercial license without loss of settings.
