Legislative Voices of Change: Bonta, Ma & Lackey to Speak at California Cannabis Business Expo, March 3-5, San Francisco
Architects of California's medical marijuana laws to speak at California Cannabis Business Expo, March 3-5, in San Francisco.
Chicago, IL, February 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Rob Bonta, Fiona Ma and Tom Lackey will represent the voices of legislative change at the California Cannabis Business Expo, San Francisco, March 3-5.
Bonta, Lackey and Ma are three of the architects of California’s landmark cannabis legislation, the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act (MMRSA). Bonta and Lackey will discuss the implications of MMRSA, which was signed into law by California’s Governor Jerry Brown in September of 2015, while Ma will discuss the latest in cannabis banking.
“The most significant risk facing the cannabis industry is legislative risk,” said David Friedman, MJIC CEO. “One of the most important things that we felt we could do at the Expo was to give these legislators a voice. Our mission is to provide the industry with the best possible information and having these legislative pioneers come to the table accomplishes that.”
