Future Electronics Promotes Susumu's PRG Thin Film Chip Resistors
Future Electronics recently announced immediate availability of Susumu's PRG thin film chip resistors series precision chip resistors with the highest power rating.
Pointe Claire, Canada, February 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently announced immediate availability of Susumu's PRG thin film chip resistors series precision chip resistors with the highest power rating.
The PRG series from Susumu has a power rating almost 5 times as high as the RG series. The PRG series long side terminal products are offered in 3 sizes: 1206 size is rated at 1W, 2010 size is rated at 2W and 2512 size is rated at 3W. These power ratings are about 4 to 8 times higher than typical chip resistors with the same size.
Because the PRG series is an offspring of the RG series, the PRG series maintains all the thin film characteristics of the RG series, including precise absolute tolerance (±0.1% ), small temperature coefficient of resistance (25ppm/°C), low noise, and wide range of operating temperature (-55°C to +155°C). Likewise, reliability of the PRG series is just as good as the RG series. The maximum drift for most standard reliability tests such as short time overload, load life, temperature humidity bias, thermal shock, and high temperature exposure is specified as 0.05% to 0.1%.
For applications requiring extreme precision and reliability, such as precision industrial and medical instrumentation, test and measuring instrumentation, optical and telecommunication, automotive electronics, laboratory grade scales, power supplies, and power grid infrastructure, now Susumu offers a choice from three highly precise and highly reliable RG series family products: the original RG series for general purpose, the URG series where ultra reliability is required, and the PRG series for applications of extreme high power requirements. The RG, URG and PRG series are all RoHS compliant and 100% lead-free.
