Capita Conferences' Post-16 Education and Training Conference and Exhibition Announced - 18th April, London
London, United Kingdom, February 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Post-16 Education and Training Conference and Exhibition
Monday, 18th April 2016 – Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Central London
Chair for the Day: David Russell, Chief Executive, The Education and Training Foundation
About the event:
With the Education Secretary declaring that schools are to be required to give vocational routes as much time as academic subjects and UCAS urging parents and teachers to consider alternative qualifications such as BTECHs as a route to University, the post-16 Education landscape is rapidly changing. Coupled with the reforms requiring all students to continue in education until they have a grade C or above in English and maths there has never been a more crucial time to evaluate existing post-16 provision.
Providing strategic policy updates alongside specialist streams of tailored content, Capita Conferences' event gives delegates focussed guidance on putting innovative and creative approaches into practice and an opportunity to hear from keynote plenary speakers, including those from The Education and Training Foundation, Ofqual, The Association of National Specialist Colleges, DfE, BIS, NATE and ASCL.
With interactive streams on four key areas, focussing on Post-16 maths, Post-16 English, Post-16 Funding and Apprenticeships and Vocational Education.
Speakers include:
· Professor Ed Sallis OBE, Chair, 'Making English and Maths Work for All' Review Steering Group
· Clare Fowler, Raising Standards in Mathematics Team, Department for Education
· Paul Clayton, Director, National Association for the Teaching of English
· Brigadier Suzanne Anderson, Head of Education and Career Development, UK Army
· Zoe Hancock, Principal, Oaklands College
· Moira McKerracher, Deputy Director, UK Commission for Employment and Skills
· Bryan Horne, Associate Director of Standards for Vocational Qualifications and Apprenticeships, Ofqual
