Edge ProTect, Builders Site Protection's New Temporary Jamb, Mullion, and Edge Protection Product, Named Among Design Journal’s "Best of 2015 Products"
Builders Site Protection has recently unveiled its newest surface protection product, Edge ProTect. Edge ProTect has been incredibly well reviewed by builders, contractors, and designers alike; as it has been named to Design Journal's "Best of 2015" products catalog.
Bend, OR, February 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- For nearly a decade commercial and residential builders alike have lauded Builders Site Protection’s Edge Pro™ as the most effective and affordable product for keeping their edges and corners free from damage. Building upon the successes of Edge Pro, in 2015, Builders Site Protection launched their new product, Edge ProTect. Edge ProTect is designed to be a larger derivative of the existing Edge Pro; featuring a design focused on protecting large jambs, mullions and wider edges. While Edge ProTect has garnered a positive commercial reception, it has now earned positive critical accolades as well. As such, Builders Site Protection is pleased to announce that Edge ProTect has been awarded inclusion among Design Journal’s Best of 2015 products. Products are awarded for their ingenuity, pragmatic function, and innovation, all of which Edge ProTect has been deemed to possess.
Edge ProTect is a 4” wide compressed paper v-board; easily taped into place to prevent damage to mullions, corners, edges and jambs. Its relative simplicity allows Edge ProTect to be quickly installed and removed, keeping time costs to a minimum. Corners are among the most frequently damaged surfaces in a building project, and Edge ProTect eliminates potentially costly damage to them.
In addition to common edges and surfaces in residential construction, Edge ProTect also has applications in curtain wall protection. Edge ProTect has been used in projects ranging from airports to hospitals as a way to keep expensive curtain wall panels and mullions from being scuffed. Due to the increasing prevalence of curtain wall systems in construction, Pat Mullen, the president of Builders Site Protection isn’t surprised at the commercial and critical success of Edge ProTect, “…for years we had been regularly receiving calls from superintendents about their need to protect curtain wall components; which led to us creating Edge ProTect. Before Edge ProTect, there was very little that could be done to keep curtain walls protected.”
Aside from its strength, Edge ProTect has also received recognition for being environmentally-friendly. Edge ProTect is made from 99.7% recycled compressed paper, which is thick and impact-resistant. Due to its strength, Edge ProTect can be reused on multiple jobsites, cutting the waste generated during construction projects. When no longer needed, Edge ProTect can be recycled, further reducing its impact on the environment.
