The Youth Mentor's Workshop Initiates a Funding Campaign to Go National with Its Program

Mentors help kids learn how to turn dreams into reality. At the Youth Mentor's Workshop they are social entrepreneurs building a way for mentors to help others' dreams come true. The Workshop is made up of kids who are guided by mentors who receive financial support from revenues generated by the sales of 2MAC sports drinks. The drinks are made by ex-long term unemployed people training to go back to work in the food manufacturing sector.

Vancouver, WA, February 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- What To Do About a National Tragedy

There is serious angst in this country regarding at-risk youth problems. Baltimore, East St. Louis, Chicago, and many more cities have flooded the news with the tragedies of at risk kids. This is a news story about something important that can be done to alleviate those problems. Implementing a solution to this problem is not fiction because it boils down to this: What are kids hearing?

It is all about the voices kids are listening to and be assured it is the voice of someone they trust and admire [whether the voice is good or bad]. Right now mentors who connect with kids are proving every day that the impossible is indeed possible on a significant scale! The mission at the Youth Mentor’s Workshop is to provide mentor training, materials and funding for in-school and after school mentor programs targeted to reach at-risk youth.

To generate ongoing funding for this mission, the Youth Mentor’s Workshop has a line of all-natural sports drinks produced under the banner of 2MAC Nutrition, a not-for-profit company that wants to go national with its sales. [go to 2macdrinks.org]. These drinks are branded Snapback and outperform anything on the market today. Part of the funding the Youth Mentor's Workshop is being raised through Crowdrise. It will be used to start a national marketing campaign for Snapback sports drinks and to support mentors.

2MAC developed the Snapback drink formula*. The Workshop has delegated the manufacturing of these products to another charity that runs its own food production facility. This not-for-profit company specializes in hiring the long term unemployed and re-trains them for jobs in the food manufacturing sector.

The Workshop needs funding to launch its program on a national scale. So if people support the Workshop on its Crowdrise fund raising site, kids who need mentors will get them; mentors who need support, will receive it; and long term unemployed people will receive training for new careers while getting paid for it. That is the Youth Mentor’s Workshop! It is a great opportunity to help both kids and grownups.

*2MAC Nutrition Footnote: There are many sports drinks and performance boosting products on the market today. What makes Snapback different? It is all natural and it provides an athlete with the essential elements that promote recovery from physical exercise. Those elements include amino acids, electrolytes, glucose, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins. Salt and sugar based sports drinks filled with artificial flavors don’t have all of it. Snapback drinks taste great too.
