An Obama Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Visits Fort Vancouver
Women’s Festival Pacific NW to host Patty DeDominic at Festival March 12
Portland, OR, February 19, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Patty DeDominic, a recent recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama, to speak at the inaugural Women’s Festival Pacific Northwest on March 12, 2016 at the historical Fort Vancouver Barracks.
Patty DeDominic was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award from President Obama for her life-long commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service on Oct. 16, 2015. The Santa Barbara resident has been honored by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO.org) for her work on behalf of economic development and leadership. She was named the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2006 CEO of the Year award and serves on several boards of foundations and organizations.
“Your volunteer service demonstrates the kind of commitment to your country that moves America a step closer to its great promise,” said President Obama in his letter to DeDominic.
In 2007, DeDominic founded the International Women’s Festivals in Santa Barbara, California with the mission of celebrating women around the world in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Her dream has become a reality with women hosting all over the world: Arizona, Cayman Islands, Ireland and Shanghai. Toronto and Pacific Northwest events are new as of this year.
Patty and 6 other speakers will be sharing their stories of empowerment at the inaugural Women’s Festival Pacific Northwest at the Fort Vancouver Barracks, March 12, 2016 from 9am-5pm.
