Florida Public Relations Association Southwest Florida Chapter Will be Buzzing with a Trip to Lee County Mosquito Control
Fort Myers, FL, February 19, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Florida Public Relations Association Southwest Florida Chapter (FPRA SWFL) takes its “PR On the Road” luncheon series to the Lee County Mosquito Control facility in March. The public is invited to attend “PR in the War Against Anopheles” on Tuesday, March 1 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Lee County Mosquito Control, 15191 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres, Fla.
Attendees will tour the facilities at the airport, where the district operates a fleet of DC3 and helicopter aircraft, and hear about public information and PR strategies and programs for explaining the science and helping residents reduce mosquito problems.
The Lee County Mosquito Control District is committed to improving the quality of life, facilitating outdoor activities and protecting the public health in the community by implementing environmentally sound practices that control mosquitoes throughout the county. The objective of the organization is to serve the residents and visitors of Lee County by controlling the mosquito populations using safe and effective processes. The district provides leadership, research, technical information, and education on mosquitoes and their control.
The cost for attending the presentation is $25 for members, $30 for non-members and $15 for students. Space is limited so please register early. Guests must RSVP online at fpraswfl.org.
Sponsorships for the monthly luncheons are also available. Three levels of sponsorships are available, ranging from $100 to $500. Sponsors will receive acknowledgement in news releases, complimentary event admission, table display to showcase promotional items, visibility on electronic and print marketing and more, depending on level.
