Strive 2 Drive: Dick Hannah Dealerships to Give Away a New Car to a Local High School Student

Vancouver, WA, February 21, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Calling all full-time area high school students. Registration is now open at DickHannah.com/Strive2Drive for the seventh annual Strive 2 Drive High School Education Initiative from Dick Hannah Dealerships. One student will win a brand new car, their choice of eight brands, at the culminating event on July 24, 2016.

Strive 2 Drive is an academic achievement initiative designed to encourage local area high school students to improve their grades by offering students the chance to win a new car. All high school students, 14 years of age and older, attending a public or private school or are currently being home-schooled can register.

There are two ways students can qualify to win the car:

1. Attain a GPA of 3.5 or better for the 2015-2016 academic school year -or-
2. Boost their last semester / trimester GPA by a half-a-point over the first. Example, elevate their GPA from a 1.0 to a 1.5 or a 2.8 to a 3.3 (+0.5) to qualify.

Important dates:

1. Thursday, July 14, 2016 - Registration closes at 5:00 pm Pacific Time. Students must have registered online and updated their registrations with their final grades to be eligible for the drawing

2. Sunday, July 24, 2016 - Drawing event will be held at Portland International Raceway (PIR). Gates open at 5 pm with a College Fair and other activities happening until the drawing starts at 6 pm. Students must be present at PIR by 6 PM to be eligible to win.
