Career Step Announces Winner of Video Scholarship Contest for Moms Returning to School
Career Step is proud to announce that the winner of its December 2015 Moms in School scholarship is Katrina Mazanet, a full time dental hygiene student at Madison College in Wisconsin.
Provo, UT, February 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is proud to announce that the winner of its Moms in School video scholarship contest is Katrina Mazanet. The scholarship awards Ms. Mazanet $2,000, which she will put toward her tuition in the Dental Hygiene program at Madison College.
“I am a mother of two young children who keep me motivated and inspired,” said Ms. Mazanet. “I also work part time to help support my family and my academic goals. My goal is to support my family as a Registered Dental Hygienist who specializes in helping children to establish good oral hygiene habits while they are young. This award will help make that dream a possibility for me!”
Ms. Mazanet is attending Madison College as a full time dental hygiene student. She currently has a 3.4 grade point average and will begin her second year in the program in fall 2016.
Ms. Mazanet was selected as a finalist in Career Step’s video scholarship contest for moms returning to school through a lengthy review process from among numerous applicants. Applicants submitted a one- to three-minute video on “Back to School from a Mom’s Perspective.” After Career Step selected the top three finalists, Ms. Mazanet won the scholarship contest by receiving the most votes over a two week period.
