ISM & ThomasNet Recognize Source One Consultant as 2016 Rising Supply Chain Star
Michael Croasdale, Source One’s Strategic Sourcing and MRO Category Expert, makes the list of future procurement leaders for his achievements delivering innovative supply chain solutions.
Willow Grove, PA, February 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Source One Management Service’s Senior Project Manager Michael Croasdale has been honored as a ThomasNet and Institute for Supply Management (ISM) “30 Under 30 Supply Chain Star,” recognized for his incredible accomplishments that distinguish him as an emerging industry leader. The annual award recognizes 30 individuals who are 30 or younger for demonstrating outstanding leadership, initiative, and/or collaboration in the areas of supply chain management and procurement.
ThomasNet and ISM launched the “30 Under 30” initiative as a response to a growing need for young talent in the supply management and procurement industry. By showcasing the incredible future leaders of the industry, ThomasNet and ISM hope to inspire other Millennials to fill the talent gap. Regarding his recognition as an emerging procurement leader, Croasdale shared, “There’s this misconception that Millennials lack a strong work ethic and we’re always on our smartphones, but I know from personal experience that we’re driven to succeed and are constantly looking for opportunities to take things to the next level. I take pride in being a part of a generation with a mindset to utilize technology to increase efficiency – which is also something Source One promotes in our workplace culture. Each generation has their unique strengths and I’m happy to be a part of a company that celebrates that diversity and cultivates it for a better work product for our clients.”
Croasdale is recognized for his stellar performance as a Strategic Sourcing and MRO Category Expert, demonstrating leadership in providing outside-the-box procurement and strategic sourcing solutions for his clients. Most notable is his work establishing preferred vendor programs and leveraging Google Earth to develop advanced ordering guides. For one client, the new program replaced their previously over-utilized three-bid-and-buy process, allowing buyers to select a preferred supplier based on location / distance to the job site. Croasdale’s work not only saved the company over a million dollars by negotiating competitive rates and cutting transportation costs, but also time - making it easy for cost estimators to find local preferred suppliers.
Croasdale, as well as the other “30 Under 30” winners will attend the Institute for Supply Management’s Annual Conference held this May in Indianapolis. As a part of the conference’s Emerging Professionals Experience, “30 Under 30” winners will be honored with a reception celebrating their achievements. In addition, the emerging leaders are encouraged to attend a number of networking and learning sessions geared towards accelerating their career development.
Croasdale will be joined at the event by additional experts from Source One Management Services. The consulting firm is a Diamond Sponsor of ISM2016 and exclusive sponsor the Exec IN forum – a private event held for senior level executives of top organizations with over $1.5 Billion in revenue. Topics discussed during the forum will be geared towards solving the unique challenges associate with large scale supply chains. Prior to the event, Source One will be launching a “Countdown to ISM2016” series, featuring a wide range of content including podcasts, blog posts, and webinars centered on hot industry topics.
