Pacifica’s Ernest Camacho Appointed to Board of Directors for Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce
Pasadena, CA, March 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Pacifica is pleased to announce that Ernest Camacho, President and Chief Executive Officer for Pacifica Services, Inc. has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce.
Board Chairman, Gilbert Vasquez issued the following statement today regarding the appointment of Ernest Camacho to the Board of Directors:
“A proud product of East Los Angeles, educated at area schools including East LA College and Cal State Los Angeles, Ernest Camacho is a vested and active member of our local community. His endeavors to build Latino capacity through charity work, community engagement, workforce development, and mentoring has been an inspiration to many. His credentials as a community champion help leverage our chamber’s mission of bringing Latino business interests to the community table to voice our opinions on the future development of the Los Angeles region.”
“Ernest Camacho has been an avant-garde member of the Latino community as an entrepreneur, a developer and as a philanthropist,” added Chief Executive Officer, Theresa Martinez. “The insight he brings to the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is vital in both fulfilling our mission of supporting Latino businesses and growing our programs and services.”
Presently, Mr. Camacho also serves on the Governing Board for Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and on the Charitable Foundation Board of Directors for White Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Camacho has served with distinction on numerous boards for public sector agencies throughout his career, such as the Loyola Marymount University Board of Regents, Claremont Graduate University Board of Trustees, and notably as the Chairman of the Rail Construction Corporation.
The Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce (LALCC) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization and a 501(c)(6) trade group corporation as designated by the IRS in October 2008.
