New Cane Cachaca Launched by US Cachaca Trade Council
Dallas, TX, January 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dallas, Texas based US Cachaca Trade Council, (www.cachacatc.com ) is expanding its line of Premium Distilled Spirits with the introduction of a new Ultra-Premium brand of Cachaca called Cane™ Silver & Cane Gold.
“We are extremely pleased with the new Cane™ line of Premium Cachacas. They are a perfect addition to our company’s other mid tier brands called Frisco Fish™ Silver and Gold Cachaca and our organic Cachaca, Agrivale” said Marco Zvanik, President of the US Cachaca Trade Council while at a CTC promotion in mid-town Manhattan.
“The CTC is always looking for ways to expand the use, sale, awareness and market growth of Brazilian Cachaca here in the USA. Each year we are seeing dozens of different Cachaca brands enter into the US market and the CTC has been fortunate to help introduce more than seven different brands since our inception back in 2006”, says Mr. Zvanik.
The Cane™ brand of Cachaca is being introduced in part because of CBS Television’s new 2007 fall series called Cane, which is about a Family involved in the distilled spirits business. “At first we had some concerns about linking Cachaca together with a TV show about rum. As you may know, many people still mistakenly confuse Cachaca with rum but the two could not be more different when it comes to their flavor, aroma and use. However in the end, our decision was based on this being a great opportunity to get more Cachaca out in the market place which is still the CTC’s number one objective”, says Mr. Zvanik.
Cachaca, which is already more popular than rum, tequila, scotch, gin or whiskey, is quickly gaining name recognition here in the USA. While most ums are produced from the fermentation of molasses, Cachaca is produced from the fermentation of freshly squeezed sugar cane juice. For this reason, Cachaca tends to have a fresh, fruity flavor and an aroma of sugar cane. The Cane™ brand is one of the few Cachacas currently available in the US in both a Silver (clear) and Gold (barrel aged) product. While the Silver is most often used in cocktails like the Caipirinha, Mojito or Pina Colada, the Gold can be sipped over ice or used as a mixer.
The Cachaca Trade Council has been expanding the use of Cachaca by promoting the use of Cachaca in traditional cocktails like margaritas and mojitos. For more drink ideas go to www.friscofish.com and download one of their drink recipe sheet. For more information on Cachaca, please contact the US CTC at (214) 641-8449 or start asking your bar, club or restaurant for Frisco Fish™ or Cane™ Cachaca today.
