Lampley Named Adams and Reese Government Relations Team Leader
Nashville, TN, March 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Adams and Reese is proud to announce that governmental relations and legislative counsel, Brad A. Lampley, a partner in the firm’s Nashville office, has been named Government Relations Team Leader of the multidisciplinary firm. The announcement was made by Adams and Reese Managing Partner Gif Thornton.
Lampley’s talent and leadership abilities were recognized early on when he was named Partner in Charge of the firm’s Nashville office in 2008, becoming the youngest partner ever named to the position. As Government Relations Team Leader, Lampley now leads one of the largest practice areas within the firm, which operates 16 offices across 15 markets in seven states and Washington, D.C.
“Brad is a firm leader who makes things happen and gets things done,” Thornton said. “Clients love him; his partners trust him. He is the obvious choice to lead our firm wide Government Relations team to even greater heights.”
Adams and Reese has a long-standing reputation for its strength in the governmental relations arena. In 2015 rankings released by Southern Political Report, the firm ranked number one in the states of Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee and among the top five in Mississippi and South Carolina on a list of leading government affairs and lobbyist firms in the South.
Of his appointment as team leader, Lampley remarked: “It is a great honor to lead one of the top government relations practice teams in the entire Southeast. We truly have an All-Star team of governmental relations attorneys and advisors, and I relish the opportunity to help make that team even stronger."
Lampley joined Adams and Reese in 2005 when Nashville law firm Stokes Bartholomew merged with Adams and Reese. A respected attorney, Lampley is a well-known figure throughout the state of Tennessee and the region thanks to his successful governmental relations practice as well as his business and philanthropic service.
Lampley has a multifaceted law practice, serving as legislative counsel to a variety of businesses and trade associations with interests before the Tennessee General Assembly and Tennessee state government. He further focuses his practice on business litigation and commercial dispute resolution.
In 2013, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam named Lampley to the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees, the governing body of UT and its campuses across the state. He has also served on the board of directors of the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl for more than a decade, including serving a term as Chairman in 2011 and 2012, the youngest chairman in the bowl’s history. Lampley also serves on the University of Tennessee Athletics Board, as well as the boards of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame and the University of Tennessee Research Foundation.
