New Unique Progressive National 24/7 Radio Network, to Unite Americans, Nears Launch
The nation's first progressive radio network in years, on the web, satellite and smartphones, will soon launch after additional crowd funding, with the goal to discuss issues, find solutions and unify America, while incubating listener and off-the-air social justice projects.
Portland, OR, March 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Celebrate Radio, a unique and innovative national and highly sustainable 24/7 satellite media network designed to passionately promote progressive issues, unity and tolerance between this June and election day and then beyond, nears launch after 4 years of preparation. It is just $17,000 and some additional program production from launch across the U.S., Mexico, Canada and 17 other countries including Australia.
A joint project of non-profit Streetcats Foundation, Entertainment Network News (ENN) and One Heart For Kids, it is unlike anything else on radio. It will fill major gaps in American broadcasting and be available on Galaxy 19 satellite, on the web and on apps.
Celebrate Radio will be a collaboration beyond Streetcats and ENN, that unites progressives, is unifying and non-partisan, is solutions-focused and will have a 24 hour daily schedule consisting of classic archival material that has been developed over several years (including outstanding major in-person interviews) and brand new excitingly passionate programming discussing important issues for Americans who will go to the polls in November. Its founders believe that this will be a most important change election for the future of America and much of their immediate focus will be to turn out the vote.
During this election cycle and beyond, Celebrate Radio's creators believe there is a truly vital need to effect change by changing the broadcast media, "getting beyond the noise, sensationalism, always 'breaking news' syndrome and fear-mongering to inspire hope, solutions, tolerance and fight income equality." Broadcast veterans at Celebrate Radio are nearly ready to launch on the web and then on satellite across the country.
Celebrate Radio will also be positioned to become a valuable media asset post election focusing on solutions and engendering hope. The issues and news that will be covered will have an ongoing importance in the lives of Americans of all ages and socio-economic demographics. The audience of Celebrate Radio, including a focus on millennials, will be appealing to advertisers both on the radio and on the corresponding Celebrate Radio and ENN2 websites.
Unique programming (more details on request) will offer important features throughout the day on far more issues than are now aired on broadcast media, from environment to health to civil rights, listener collaborations and volunteer opportunities, news headlines, brief and longer form campaign updates, features for boomers and millennials alike, reports on children's issues from UNICEF, Compassion International, the Children's Defense Fund and others, their own first-time voter, Teen Hero, Rebuilding America and Justice For All spots, Be Amazing, World Religions Minute, Movies That Matter, The Blogosphere, Tolerance minute, inspirational voices of Dr. King, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Pope Francis and others, the network's own network reporter briefs from around the U.S., London, Jerusalem and Tokyo and Interfaith Reports and Tolerance minutes…. all set amidst their already-developed bed of an uplifting 1400 song Positively Music mix.
Evenings and weekends, Celebrate Radio will also add a variety of long and short-form entertainment features on music, highlights of the web and social media, tech news, TED Talks, womens focused features, social justice film and TV profiles…they already have their own archived in-depth interviews with people ranging from U.S. Fund for UNICEF CEO Caryl Stern, Selma icon and civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, Americans for Separation of Church and State CEO Barry Lynn, musician and activist Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary, Gandhi grandson Arun Gandhi, Peace Child Israel Director Melisse Boskavich, Saddleback’s Kay Warren, Friends and Family of Columbine, Compassion International CEO-Emeritus Dr. Wess Stafford and dozens more.
All features and reports will be tied together with station imaging already produced on a very contemporary central collaborative theme of United We Stand and encouraging listeners to "be amazing."
Celebrate Radio has been planned by people at Streetcats Foundation, ENN and radio pros who have been working on this project for 4 years after piloting REACHING UP, a successful national weekly program with similar aims and high audience appeal and acclaim that has already been heard in 200 countries on satellite…. Producers have the ability to manage a team for the inception of Celebrate Radio and quickly build its content as it heads towards election day. Its visionary founder, Don Fass, began his career by founding one of the first national radio news services when he was just 17.
"Once re-launched," says executive producer Don Fass, "we will be examining a strategy to interest a wide range of advertisers for post election franchise advertising participation although we will remain largely listener-supported."

The initial budget for Celebrate Radio for June-November is ideally only $2,500 a month. That will cover all costs and then be quite sustainable beyond the election cycle.
