As the National Marketing Director, some of Steve’s responsibilities will include:
- Meeting with potential new accounts and telling the “BEST” story
- Build BEST’s list of clients and number of Super CE programs
- Train the client’s instructors on how to deliver BEST’s programs
- Work with client accounts to increase the number of annual Super CE programs they are currently booking
About Steve
A career sales executive, Steve spent most of the past 35 years building and managing sales teams for major US insurance companies. His product expertise centered around Retirement Planning with a focus on annuities and income planning.
Professional Experience
Beginning his career in 1980 as a regional wholesaler for Planco, a third party marketing firm, Steve spent the last 25 years in various divisional and national sales management positions for The Aegon Group, Guardian Life, Nationwide and, most recently, MetLife. In these roles, Steve hired, trained and developed more than 250 sales professionals.
During his career, Steve has also trained over 1,400 advisors at nationally sponsored CE programs and company Super CE events.
Education
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from The Citadel, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
