Robert Miller, President of Future Electronics, recently congratulated the team at the company's MADC for hosting a 5K Diabetes Awareness Walk/Run.
Pointe Claire, Canada, March 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Robert Miller, President of Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recognized the company's Memphis Area Distribution Center (MADC) team for hosting a 5k Walk/Run to promote diabetes awareness.
The campaign included the distribution of diabetes awareness materials, which were handed out to employees. Many participants walked in honor of employees who have been diagnosed with diabetes. The local Southaven police were there to help direct traffic and block the streets for runners and walkers.
Future Electronics' employees, along with their friends and family members came out to support the walk. A total of 20 walkers/runners participated in the 5K event, and all the raised funds were donated to the Memphis Diabetes Foundation.
The MADC holds a variety of fundraising events on an ongoing basis, and has developed a reputation for helping the community, much like Future Electronics' President, Robert Miller, who places a high priority on philanthropic endeavors, and encourages his employees to do whatever they can to help make the world a better place.
