Detroit, MI, January 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- To meet the growing demand from scanning customers and the worldwide business environment, ADAPT, (Advanced Design And Prototype Technologies, Inc.) is pleased to announce complete white light scanning services. At half the cost of typical scanning service companies, ADAPT in partnership with Accurex Measurement of New Jersey, can perform your scanning needs at your location or at the ADAPT, Michigan engineering and scanning service facility.

The scanning is done by a Breuckmann 3D scanner, optoTOP-HE, which is among the most powerful and accurate systems in the world of image-forming 3D metrology. Due to the portability, the ADAPT team can deliver you complete CAD 3/D solid models from your physical parts regardless if clients are in the United States or overseas. ADAPT also performs manufacturing quality and inspection services to insure client parts are being made to meet specifications.

Customers needing scanning services, vary greatly throughout the world. Some may just be trying to make sure manufacturing tools are producing the right parts, while others may not have CAD 3/D data of existing parts. The stamping industry is one example. Some die details don’t have existing data available, so ADAPT scans customer die detail and make a CAD/CAM model allowing the machining of a new die detail in half the time and cost of standard processes. This state of the art process is a major advantage for stamping manufacturers by reducing plant downtime and overall costs.
