Wilmington, NC, March 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The ODTUG Board of Directors voted to add Roel Hartman of APEX Consulting in the Netherlands as a board member during a special election on Friday, March 11, 2016. Hartman replaces outgoing board member Sarah Zumbrum, who stepped down after taking a position with Oracle Corporation. Hartman joins ODTUG Board of Directors President Natalie Delemar, Vice President Martin D’Souza, Treasurer Tim Tow, Secretary Cameron Lackpour, and Directors Opal Alapat, Danny Bryant, Gary Crisci, and Mike Riley. Hartman’s term ends December 31, 2016, and he will be up for re-election in October 2016.
“Roel has a deep commitment and a long history of service to the Oracle user community,” ODTUG Board President Natalie Delemar said.
“In addition to being an Oracle ACE Director, a renowned speaker, published author, and recognized thought leader in Application Express, he also brings diversity to the board by representing our large number of international members. I am thrilled to welcome Roel to the ODTUG Board of Directors.”
Hartman has a strong history of volunteering with ODTUG. In 2014 and 2015, he was asked to be a part of the Application Express Content Committee for Kscope, ODTUG’s annual conference. “I am really looking forward to working together with such a team of passionate people,” Hartman said. “Being the first board member from Europe in a long time, I expect my experience and contact with local user groups should benefit all.”
Hartman’s knowledge and accolades bring a unique perspective to the Board of Directors and will greatly benefit ODTUG. In June 2009, Hartman received an Oracle ACE award, and in August 2010 he was appointed as an Oracle ACE Director.
